SanDisk: The World Electronic Trade Show CES 2017 was held last month at a grand event. There were many renowned brands that showcased their best and latest devices to be released. One of these which are useful to many people is the 256GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSDxc UHS-I card. Western Digital touts it to be the world’s first MicroSD card that meets the A1 requirements from latest SD Association’s SD 5.1 specs. This memory fits the Application Performance Class 1 norms of SD Association’s latest SD 5.1.

Moreover, the company says that they want to give the Indian consumers even better user experience. Western Digital is presently working with the leading mobile technology experts who are better at the A1 standard app experience. Those that also support the A1 standard include several different electronic brands. These include HTC, Huawei, Lava, Lenovo, MediaTek, Meizu, Micromax, Oppo, Vivo, and ZTE.

However recently there was the MWC 2017 meet in Barcelona Spain that also showcased several brands and their latest devices. Here the SanDisk Extreme 256GB MicroSD card was introduced last week at the Mobile World Congress 2017. The MicroSD Card meets the A1 Specs (Application Performance Class 1). The speeds that it claims to offer will surely surprise you. It offers 100 MB per second read speed. Its write speed is up to 90 MB per second speed.

Price & Other Specifications

The new A1 specs let the card manage IOPS randomly at speeds of 1500 Read IOPS and 500 Write IOPS. There is also storage up to 24 hours of Full HD Video with 256GB MicroSDxc Card. There is also a SanDisk Memory Zone app that helps the user to access, view and back up the phone all in one location. Moreover, it also shifts files from the device to the memory card thereby enabling free space. It comes waterproof, temperature -proof, shockproof, and X-Ray proof.  The Extreme MicroSD card is all set for its global launch by this month and is likely to be priced at Rs. 13,355 ($199.99).
