Army Exam Cancelled!! Thane Police arrests 18 people who are part of Paper Leak

Thane: On Sunday, the army has canceled recruitment examination at six centers in western India after knowing that the question papers have been leaked.  The Crime Branch of the Thane Police also conducted raids and arrested 18 people from Maharashtra and Goa.

The six centers where the examinations were canceled include Kamptee, Nagpur, Ahmednagar, Ahmedabad, Goa and Kirkee.   The Army exam was conducted to recruit people for several posts like soldier clerk and strongman and soldier tradesman among others.  The exam was held in 52 centers across the country on 26th February 2017.As per the reports, it is said that the Indian Army has ordered an inquiry in regards to the leak of question papers in the six centers and that action would be taken based on the info.

As per few other sources, it is also said that examinations at a few other centers are also likely to be canceled.  The army before the exams had asked the police and intelligence agencies to make sure that a fair exam was held without any remarks, but it turned out to be a failure after the question papers leaked.

As per the news agency, almost 250 students have also been taken into custody after the question papers were leaked.  It is revealed that the papers were allegedly given to the students by the coaching class running institutes as well as the employees of the Indian Army.

The paper leak has created uproar in Maharashtra and Goa.  The students who got arrested were being investigated by the Thane police.  Other than the six centers, the exam has been canceled in few other exam centers.

The exam will be conducted on another date by the Indian Army to fill in various posts.  It was found that the questions were leaked to candidates by some people working for coaching centers.  It is also revealed that the candidates have paid about Rs. two lakh each for the question papers.  Immediately after receiving cue Thane police rushed and conducted raids in places like Nashik, Pune, and Nagpur in Maharashtra, and in Goa.
